What are Peel & Stick® stamps?

PSA Essentials offers the only switchable personalized stamp.  Every stamp purchased after July 1, 2009 includes Peel & Stick® patent-pending technology, allowing the design of every stamp to be switched with any other PSA Essentials stamp die - a personalized die, a prepackaged design middle, a collegiate die -- ANY stamp design we offer.

We're talking REAL switchability -- not a funky snap-on cartridge or plastic pieces you need to assemble with tweezers.  Our Peel & Stick® stamps use technology to stick, not an adhesive (yes, another company actually uses a glue adhesive for a changeable stamp -- so if you leave them on too long, they're stuck for good).  But not PSA Peel & Stick® stamps.  You can leave them on the stamper for months (a year, forever!) and then just peel them right off.

Plus, our stamp bodies are AWESOME!  We use the finest luxury stamper from Austria (exclusively ours, btw), not some rickety awkward square stamp imported from China.  Our round stampers deliver the cleanest, clearest, crispest impressions on the market.  And no lead or PVC in our stampers or polymer dies.  They're clear.  Super clear.  Water clear.  They won't get all yellow and yucky and curl up at the edges, either.

How does Peel & Stick® work?

You simply PEEL away the stamp die and STICK another in its place. It's that easy.  Think of your stamp has having a Switchable Middle.  When you're ready to switch things up (go peppy for Spring, sunny for Summer, haunted for Halloween, or jolly for the Holidays), just peel off the middle design and stick on a new one.

View the VIDEOS page to watch how it's done, and view the STAMPS page to see the Peel & Stick® packs, personalized designs and read a brief step-by step guide.

How can I tell if my stamp is a Peel & Stick® stamp?

Look for the Peel & Stick® logo on the back of the PSA Essentials stamp body. If it says Peel & Stick®, then you have a Peel & Stick® stamp; if not, you need to purchase a new stamp. Then with your new Peel & Stick® stamp, you can purchase new personalized stamp dies, collegiate dies, and hundreds of new design middles -- all using the same single stamp body. You’ll never stamp the same way again!

Do you sell personalized stamp dies without a stamp body?

Yes!  Since every stamp is a Peel & Stick® stamp, you can also switch your personalized stamp die with a different personalized stamp die -- without buying a new PSA stamper.  You can also purchase blank stampers without buying any stamp dies.  We give you every interchangeable option.

What if my stamp die loses its stickiness?

We love to hear that -- it means you're using the heck out of your stamp.  Oils from your fingers, inks, paper dust, etc. can dull the sticky factor after a ton of handling, but it's a simple fix.  Simply rinse the die in warm water, and presto!  You may stick to your heart's content.

Can the fonts be changed on the stamps and embossers?

No, but that’s the only thing that stays the same -- you can say whatever you want.  Any stamp can say anything.  We show some examples with addresses, some with names, but if you see a design you like with an address, and you want it with your name, go for it!  You decide, it's your stamp.

Do you offer additional ink colors?

Yes -- 22 Colors -- more than any other stamp company. Each stamp comes standard with a black ink cartridge, and you may purchase additional ink in either a single color or in our new Award-Winning 2-Color combinations. They are easy to replace, child-safe and each cartridge lasts for about 6 months. Click to see all of the Ink Cartridge Colors.

How do I change the ink cartridges?

It's super easy.  You can watch our quick Ink Change Video or read this short Ink Change Sheet.

What is your turnaround time for personalized stamps and embossers?

We ship in 10 business days.  Please add transit time (from our door to yours) to estimate arrival.

Are there character limits?

Yes. Stamps have a limit of 55 (outside - including spaces); we advise you stay within this limit (or the text will be very small or squished) -- about 50 on the outside looks the best. Embossers are limited to 50 on the outside and 12 on the inside. Note: Stamps & Embossers will be made as submitted; we are not responsible for products over the limit. Fewer characters = larger, easier to read text.  Hint: Use abbreviations for the state and street names.

What are the limitations for embosser impressions?

You can easily emboss papers up to 28 lb text paper and envelopes. You will not be able to emboss note cards, cardstocks, invitations or other heavy stock items. Note: We are not responsible for embossers used on anything other than paper. These are designed for personal use.

Do you sell replacement plates for embossers?

Yes! We offer replacement dies for our embosser bodies. You can buy extra dies for sharing, alternate egos, monograms, addressing and such.

Can I submit custom artwork and logos for stamps and embossers?

Yes. A custom logo charge will be added to the order. Artwork must be 600 dpi, black & white (not grayscale, all parts of the images must either be 100% black or white) and in a PC file in these formats: .jpg, .gif, .eps. Talk to your dealer for more information.
